Declarations of candidacy for municipal officer election 2022 shall be filed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the 56^th day before the election, which is January 4, 2022, at the office of the Municipal Clerk, 7 Firehouse Road, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525. This form must be notarized, however there are two notaries at the Village Office.

A potential candidate for the election must provide a certificate of registration of the candidate on file with the Taos County Clerk. A person must have been registered to vote in the district on the date the proclamation calling a local election was filed in the Office of the Secretary of State, which was December 1, 2021.

A person unable to personally deliver their Declaration of Candidacy and other associated documents as applicable may designate an individual to act on their behalf for the purpose of filing the Declaration of Candidacy and other associated documents.

MUNICIPAL OFFICER ELECTION

I, Maggie Toulouse Oliver, New Mexico Secretary of State, by virtue of the authority vested in me, do hereby issue the following proclamation:

That a Municipal Officer Election is called to be held in applicable municipalities throughout the State of New Mexico and precincts thereof on March 1, 2022; and

That a Municipal Officer Election shall be a nonpartisan election, and the names of all candidates shall be listed on the ballot with no party or slate designation; and

That a Municipal Officer Election shall be held to elect municipal officers for the following offices:

VILLAGE OF TAOS SKI VALLEY – ONE MAYOR AND TWO VILLAGE COUNCILORS
Mayor	FOUR-YEAR TERM
Position 1 Councilor	FOUR-YEAR TERM
Position 2 Councilor	FOUR-YEAR TERM

Declarations of Candidacy for the Municipal Officer Election shall be filed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 4, 2022 at the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 7 Firehouse Road, Village of Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525. Declarations of Intent to be a Write-in Candidate for the Municipal Officer Election shall be filed between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Last day to file a Statement of Withdrawal from the Municipal Officer Election shall be Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  

Early voting on paper ballots will be conducted in the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 7 Firehouse Road, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday beginning on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, and on Saturday February 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The last day for a qualified elector to register to vote or update voter registration is February 1, 2022.

Voters in the Village of Taos Ski Valley, Precinct 33, shall vote at the Inn at Taos Valley, 1314A Highway 150, Taos Ski Valley, NM on Election Day, March 1, 2021.

ELECCIÓN DE FUNCIONARIOS MUNICIPALES

Yo, Maggie Toulouse Oliver, Secretaria de Estado, Estado de Nuevo México, en virtud de la autoridad otorgada a mí, por la presente emito la siguiente proclamación:

Que se convoque la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales en los municipios correspondientes en todo el Estado de Nuevo México y sus recintos el 1 de marzo de 2022; y

Que la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales será una elección no partidista, y los nombres de los candidatos serán listados en las boletas sin designación de partido; y

Que la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales se llevará a cabo para elegir funcionarios municipales para los siguientes cargos:

Declaraciones de Candidatura para la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales se presentarán entre las 9:00 de la mañana y las 5:00 de la tarde el martes, 4 de enero de 2022 en la Officina de la Municipal Clerk, 7 Firehouse Road, Village of Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525. Declaraciones de Intención para ser un Candidato por Escrito para la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales se presentarán entre las 9:00 de la mañana y las 5:00 de la tarde el martes 11 de enero de 2022. El último día para presentar una Declaración de Retiro de la Elección de Funcionarios Municipales será el martes 11 de enero de 2022.

La votación anticipada en las boletas de papel se llevará a cabo en la Oficina del Secretario Municipal, 7 Firehouse Road, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525 de 9:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m. De lunes a viernes a partir del martes 1 de febrero de 2022 y el sábado 26 de febrero de 2021 de 10:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m. El último día para que un elector calificado se registre para votar o actualice el registro de votantes el 1 de febrero de 2022.

Los votantes en el Pueblo de Taos Ski Valley, Precinto 33, deberán votar en el Inn at Taos Valley, 1314A Highway 150, Taos Ski Valley, NM el día de las elecciones, 1 de marzo de 2022.
