Project Purpose: The purpose of the Village of Taos Ski Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Project is to upgrade and increase the facility from a hydraulic capacity of 0.167 million gallons per day (MGD) to a capacity of 0.32 MGD. The project is needed to increase the treatment capacity to meet current peak flow periods and to meet the future wastewater flows in the service area.
Meeting Purpose: The purpose of this public hearing is to provide information on the Village of Taos Ski Valley’s Waste Water Treatment Facility Improvements project, including the Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) and Environmental Information Document (EID). This hearing is intended to provide an opportunity for the public to submit both oral and written comments regarding the project, the PER and the EID.
Document Availability: Printed copies of the draft PER and EID for this project are available at the Taos Public Library, 402 Camino de la Placita, Taos, NM 87571, at the Village of Taos Ski Valley Village Office, 7 Firehouse Road, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525 and the Post Office, 505 NM-150, Arroyo Seco, NM 87514. Electronic copies of the draft PER and EID are available on the Village of Taos Ski Valley website at www.vtsv.org.
Comments: The comment period begins on September 28, 2017 and ends on November 14, 2017. Written comments will be accepted at the public hearing, or they may be mailed or faxed to Mark Fratrick, Village Administrator, PO Box 100, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525, phone 575-776-8220, fax 575-776-1145, or email (mfratrick@vtsv.org). Comments will be accepted through November 14, 2017.
