NM Gas Updated Information 10-5-20
From NM Gas:
NMGC is scheduled to install and tie into the natural gas distribution main at Thunderbird Road the week of October 12, 2020. NM Gas has contacted many homeowners who have made the request for service concerning this timeline.
There is a short video on NMGC’s website that may help all of you understand the steps that need to be taken.
- Go to www.nmgco.com
- Select the RESIDENTIAL after MY ACCOUNT ( it is in bold white on the orange tab top of the page)
- From the drop down menu select New Construction Programs
- Play the New Construction Steps located to the right on that page.
- You may fast forward to 1:48 minutes to Step 5 where you need to start
Your licensed plumber will co-ordinate with the NM State Inspector for an inspection.
Once the state inspector has been approved please
Call NMGC Call Center 1-888-664-2726 – to schedule the installation of a gas meter.
We will need the color of inspection tag, BTU load and size of your piping
This information is obtained by your plumber & may already be on file.
A NMGC service tech will visit your location to set the meter and perform a pressure test. This usually happens 1 business day after NMGC receives your order.
Your Plumber will be required to visit your location to light the gas appliances.
After 1 month of being a gas customer, please complete the attached rebate form and mail to the address on the bottom. It takes 30 to 60 days to receive the rebate check.
