All residents, property owners, and business owners are invited to participate in the development of the new Village Master Plan. The Village Council adopted a Master Plan in 2010, and now it is time to revisit the Master Plan and identify a new set of goals, polices, and objectives to guide future development of the community. The new Master Plan will address a variety of issues, including land use and infrastructure, protection of natural resources, recreation facilities, community services, hazard mitigation, and economic development. You are encouraged to meet Matthew Foster, the Village Planner, and discuss the Master Plan and provide any comments or ideas you feel should be included. Matthew will be presenting the various elements of the Master Plan to the Planning and Zoning Commission during their regular meetings. You are encouraged to attend the meetings. They are usually held on the first Monday of the month at 1:00pm at the Edelweiss Club Room, although the April meeting will be held on March 30. Otherwise, Matthew will be happy to meet with you, your family, your business, or your community organization to discuss the planning process, present the various drafts of the plan, or to discuss more about how you can get involved.
