VILLAGE OF TAOS SKI VALLEY

RESOLUTION NO. 01-52

APPOINTING A VOTING MEMBER TO THE TAOS REGIONAL LANDFILL BOARD

WHEREAS, The Governing Body of the Village of Taos Ski Valley met in regular session on May 22, 2001 at 2:00 p.m.; and

WHEREAS, the Village is a participant in the Joint Powers Agreement for the Establishment of the Taos Regional Landfill Board; and

WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement allows each Board Member to have one vote and each participating entity shall constitute one Board member; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village to appoint a permanent member to act on its behalf at the Taos Regional Landfill Board meetings and to appoint one alternate member in the event the permanent member is unavailable; and

WHEREAS, the appointed member and the alternate serve at the pleasure of and represent the Governing Body of the Village as a whole and for that reason may be removed as representative by simple majority of the Governing Body.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the Village of Taos Ski Valley that J. Christopher Stagg is appointed to represent the Village on the Taos Regional Landfill Board and is vested with all rights and duties appurtenant thereto.

BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that Barbara L. Wiard is appointed to serve as alternative to the appointed representative on the Taos Regional Landfill Board in the event that the representative is unable to attend.

BE IT ALSO RESOLVED that this appointment is indefinite until revoked by the Governing Body of the Village.
