REMINDER CONCERNING RECYCLING BINS

Please take care with the sorting of your recyclable trash. Many of the bins recently taken to be recycled have been contaminated. When personal mail, bills, dirty diapers, food, etc., are found in the bins, the bins are contaminated and have to be taken to the landfill. This hurts both the environment and everyone who took time to properly sort their recycling.

Please remind everyone who handles trash and recycling of the necessity of sorting items correctly. Also, do not throw plastic bags containing the recycled items into the bins along with the recycled items.

If there are no signs on the bins, look to see if there is glass or aluminum in the bin before throwing your items of the same kind in the bin. All other trash should be put in the compactor.

Ultimately, we may lose the privilege of recycling here at the Ski Valley if our aluminum, glass and cardboard is not sorted properly.
